The eat & STYLE, the fairgrounds about cooking and everything that has to do with this year celebrated its fifth anniversary and we were with some friends at the conclusion of Sunday Mass in the middle. In just over an hour he conjured up an Asian soup, chicken leg on mushroom risotto with shrimp stuffed chicken breast on pumpkin. We felt very well maintained and have taken even the odd tip to take home. The weather was on Sunday, fortunately, but even in the rain it could have be comfortable in wine barrels.

Back in the hall, we shall finish with leave of the Jolly Roger Cooking gear for free cook and next to a spicy rice and vegetable pan and homemade blood sausage or meat treats get the following:

Overall, we have a very beautiful and delicious day on the eat & STYLE moved, for those who are cooking Eating and interested, next year should just take a look.

Last weekend we landed, thanks to the blue coupon book in the Emilio. Emilio's is a small tapas restaurant in the south of Essen. Caveat: We understand at all the criticism of the operation, because for us it was friendly and attentive and had the idea of food and wines. The selection of tapas is typically English and everything we ordered was also delicious. At the end there was also a remixed nightcap, the evening has really nice rounded. Overall, we felt very comfortable in Emilio and are determined to come back. A little note at the end: We were with friends in Emilio, but have not get a separate bill: very typical English. Recipe: Coffee Chili

this recipe a few years ago I discovered on Tacoweb and since then this has become my undisputed favorite chili chili. It is easy to prepare, contains one or other strange ingredients, but tastes really spicy and delicious. Not for nothing this recipe 1999 Statewide Chili Championship won in Texas. I added the recipe to another ingredient and now find it just perfect. Severity of her is the chili in this form of mass Compatible - who like sharper like, you can refine the chili peppers or equivalent with additional sauce.

Ingredients (4-6 servings):

  • 30 ml oil
  • 2 onions, chopped 3
  • cloves garlic, crushed 500g minced beef
  • 300 g of beef stew, chopped finely
  • 1 large can (840 ml) tomatoes, with liquid, slightly crushed
  • 250 ml dark beer
  • 200 ml coffee
  • 200 ml beef stock
  • 40 g tomato paste
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon baking cocoa
  • 0.5 tsp oregano, dried
  • 0.5 tsp coriander
  • 3 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 cans kidney beans
  • 3 fresh chili peppers, finely diced (possibly stoned)
preparation :
oil in a deep pot or a roasting pan. Add the onion, mince, goulash and roast 10 minutes until everything is golden brown. Then stir in remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat, stirring frequently, 90 minutes. Optionally, now with a masher the chili get a little crushed finer. Finally, the kidney beans and add the whole thing simmer another 30 minutes. Depending on the stew-quality, it can happen once that the meat after the two hours are not yet tender. If this were the case, let the chili simmer on low heat just continue.
